PLSX 50ws Power Pack with built in LiFePo4 battery
The PLSX is an awesome small Pack with settings at 6ws, 12ws 25ws and 50ws. This is a super small and fast solution for photographers who need less power than they used to use but still want the quality of light that Lumedyne is famous for.
This Pack is not modular but has a built in Lithium LiFePo4 battery inside of it. At full 50ws it provides at least 1000 flashes per charge and recharges in just over an hour. It gives many times more flashes at the lower power settings.
This Pack provides all of the low power settings for higher ISO shooting while keeping the simplicity of the Classic equipment with two slide switches. If the pack is behind you, under your tuxedo jacket or in a bag then seeing what power level is selected on other flashes is difficult, but the Lumedyne is just 1, 2, 3 for the first three settings of 6ws, 12ws and 25ws on the white switch and full power 50ws with the red switch on the right, you don't even have to look at it to know what setting you are on. But if you do look at it, you would see the battery gauge on top.
This Pack always has extra fast recycling because of the awesome built-in battery, we don’t require a slower mode. This Pack can work with any of the Flash Heads of any age or model. It can power one or two Flash Heads and divides the power evenly if two Heads are used. The real specialty of this Pack is that it’s so small and lightweight with the Lithium cells inside it already.
We have 45 years of building high quality high power flash equipment for professional photographers. We have had a number of those photographers tell us that the settings we have on the Classic Lumedynes are great for outdoors but are often too bright for their current indoor shooting styles. The PLSX is a great addition to for those photographers who want a super small and fully encapsulated solution. The built in LiFePo4 battery cells have a ten year pro-rate warranty and the rest of the product has the full two year warranty.
If you prefer the modular design to interchange Batteries, then we recommend the P1NF with settings from 3ws to 25ws and with the normal modular design.
