APBR Bowens™ Pro-Plate Adapter for Extra Small Heads
This adapter connects Bowens™ S Mount style reflectors and accessories to the front of the Extra Small Flash Heads. The Signature Heads can also be adapted to use this mount by getting a new face plate.
It has a lock to hold the reflector in place and a 1/4-20 mount for the lightstand so that there is no added stress to the Flash Head regardless of the size of the light modifier used.
When you want to use big reflectors like the beauty dishes and other accessories or softboxes that are available for Bowens™ and the many Chinese imitators on yur Lumedyne Head, this will work with the Heads that have threaded mounts on the front. Basicaly these are the Extra Small Heads, however some Signature Series Heads recently have such mounts and older Signature Heads can be adapted to use this.
The other Heads that don't have the threaded mounts should use the ABRA Bowens™ Reflector Adapter that mounts like the reflector by the neck rather than to srew onto the front of the head like this one.
Once you srew this to the face of the Head, you use the built-in 1/4-20 mount and the lock on the back to hold any of the large light modifiers that you desire. The flashtube is set right into the center of the modifier and is perfect to use all the walls of the reflector or softbox.
Four short 6-32 screws are included with the plate.
