As of 2017, we have two new single Chargers for our worldwide markets.
These simple "wall wart" style chargers are made for international voltages and are very cost effective, small, simple and fast. These "P" style Chargers include four plug adapters to fit the USA, Europe, the UK and Australia.
The CQ1P is the new Single Quick Charger with a quick charging rate and a great low price of only $40. The CQ1P is compatible with all of the sizes of Batteries and Cyclers from Lumedyne.
The CX1P is the new Single Extra-Fast Charger with the fastest charging rate that we've ever offered. While it is still small and lightweight, the CX1P is intended for use ONLY with our Medium, Large and Extra Large Batteries because it is too fast for the Cyclers and Small Batteries. The QX1P also has a reasonable price point of only $70 each.
These new Chargers have the same battery compatibility limitations as our Hyper Chargers for use only with Batteries with serial numbers higher than 149300 (made in 2002 and beyond). The batteries made since 2013, started new Serial Numbers at 10,000 and are compatible with all generations of the Lumedyne Chargers.
The Hyper Chargers are almost as fast as the Extra Fast Charger and they include the awesome Battery Gauge feature. They can charge two or four batteries at one time and at full speed. Take a look at: LumeNewsFlash-Photo03.pdf for more information.
All of the old models of Chargers can work fine with the modern Batteries. The only limitation is regarding NOT using old Batteries with modern Chargers, (unless the PEPI circuit has been upgraded).
IF YOUR CHARGER DIED RECENTLY?
IT IS LIKELY A BAD BATTERY THAT KILLED IT.
We have only a few of the $60 CQ1A "Classic Chargers"left in stock. These are called Quick Chargers but run closer to the Trickle charging speed. They are the only small chargers that are compatible with the old PEPI circuit prior to 2002 and lower than the 149300 serial number. You should contact Lumedyne directly to see if any of these CQ1A Classic Chargers are still available if you have batteries that never got modified with the new PEPI thermo-protection circuit. Warning: Bad Batteries will kill this type of Charger so if your last Charger failed, perhaps you should not attempt to charge the questionable battery until it is tested so that you don't kill your new Charger too...
